Homemade low sodium pizza sauce is so
easy to make it’s definitely worth keeping tucked away in the freezer
for those homemade pizza nights, or as a marinara dipping sauce.
Ingredients
8 ounces tomato sauce, no-salt-added (236 mL)
1 teaspoon onion powder (2g)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (2g)
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano (0.25 g)
1/4 teaspoon dried basil (0.25 g)
1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds (0.25 g)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (0.25 g)
pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Preparation
Mix all ingredients together and spread on pizza crust or heat and use
as a marinara dipping sauce.
Freezing Directions:
Place in freezer container or bag and freeze. Thaw to serve.
Yield: 4 - 1/4 cup servings
